Ladies League Match results

Published: 26th May 2017

Winning ways returned on Wednesday 24th May against Mullion at Home. This was another tricky fixture with the Mullion ladies fielding a strong team in determined mood.

Playing conditions were almost perfect, dry and sunny with a bit of breeze so the Ladies were able to enjoy their matches without battling the elements as well as each other.

It was a very tight match with one early win by Barbara Graham on the 15th and most of the remaining matches going through 15 1 up or 1 down. Fortunately the balance swayed in the home team’s favour in the early matches, with the later one’s not faring quite so well. In the end it was down to rookie team member Sarah Fisher to seal the win on the 16th in her match.

The end result was a 4-3 win to St Enodoc, exactly what Ladies’ Captain Tamsin Blake had hoped to see and she thanks all players for the great team spirit which saw them through the day.

It was an enjoyable and closely contested match, although a bit tense if you were watching from the sidelines!

Thanks to the Mullion Ladies for the friendly and competitive spirit in which all the matches were played and to Mullion Ladies Captain Margaret Thomas for joining Tamsin on spectator/supporter duties out on the course.
