Having played and won a preliminary round in this competition the Ladies now had to face Launceston in the first round at Bude on Sunday 4th June. Always tough opponents it is however a pleasure to meet the Launceston Ladies in competition as there is plenty of banter and the matches are all played with healthy competitive spirit.

Apart from an early shower of rain, the weather behaved itself and conditions were dry and breezy. The team battled valiantly against some excellent play from the opposition but ultimately the Launceston Ladies were stronger and won the day. We wish them luck in the next round against Falmouth.

Well played to all the St Enodoc team and caddies, your time and effort in representing the club is much appreciated. Ladies’ Captain Tamsin Blake would also like to thank Sarah Sandercock and Celia Jarvis for organising the practice rounds and selecting the teams for both rounds. It was good to see such lovely team spirit throughout and we look forward to next year!
