Tuesday 20th June proved to be one of the hottest days for some time and resulted in a small field for the second round of the Dingle Trophy on the Holywell Course. This competition is played in a Medal format over two rounds with the best eclectic score winning.

On this occasion the Ladies had to brave some very high temperatures and this brought out the best and the worst in the players. For some the heat evidently affected their vision, as they were going around very nicely when one of them realised they were playing the wrong ball! Neither lady was sure at what point the swap had taken place and therefore both had to NR!

At the other end of the scale Mary Bower’s golf was as hot as the weather and she returned a fantastic net 55 on the day for which she is congratulated!

Unfortunately for Mary it wasn’t quite good enough to win as Rose Jones had an excellent net 54 over the two rounds to win the trophy this year, well done Rose!

Winner Rose Jones net 54
Runner-up Mary Bower net 55

P.S. Sorry Rose, we don't have a picture of you to post here. The paparazzi will be round soon though!
