The annual competition between the Ladies Captain and Vice Captain took place on Tuesday 17th October in fine, even occasionally warm, conditions. The Ladies were divided into 2 teams and the match was played as a Four ball better ball Stableford format with the total points for each team being added together to decide the winner. The final result favoured the Captain’s Team, and Diana’s losing team members (and several other generous Ladies) contributed £1 each to the soon to be Ladies Captain’s Charity.

Following the golf the ladies enjoyed a 'Wappo' Pasty in the bar, following which they were joined by John from Active8, Tamsin’s chosen charity, for the presentation of a cheque for a magnificent £8364.92 resulting from this year’s fundraising efforts. John was delighted to receive this wonderful donation which he said will enable this small, local charity to continue to provide invaluable support and activities for physically disabled youngsters within the County.

It was another lovely, enjoyable day and Tamsin thanked everyone for their participation and for their generous support for her charity throughout the year.

Tamsin would also like to take this opportunity to express her thanks to the numerous local businesses who supported the fund raising this year by donating prizes and also to The Fisherman’s Friends for their charity appearance earlier in the year. A huge thank you to all the members who have attended the events, bought raffle tickets and auction items, donated prizes and given up their time to help out.
