The annual Baron Rose Bowl competition was held at Perranporth Golf Club on Thursday 15th June 2017. This is a 36 hole Foursomes Medal which generally attracts a good field from around the County.

This year 18 clubs attended, each fielding 3 pairs of players with the best aggregate score winning the team prize. Conditions were hot with moderate wind conditions in the morning picking up to a stiff breeze in the afternoon and making play a little tricky at times. The St Enodoc team of Sue Roworth and Bev Vann, Penny Cartwright and Barbara Graham and Kath Biddle and Sue Willmott had an excellent morning, posting a score of 233.5. The afternoon proved more challenging and the team ended the day on 483 bringing them in 6th in the team competition.

The Perranporth team won overall with a score of 463. The Baron Rose Bowl was won by Laura Andrews (County Champion) and Olivia Trewela both of Truro with a score of 147.

Other prizes on the day were awarded for;
