Katie Rule makes PGA Alliance History

Published: 19th October 2012

Recently turned Pro Katie played in her second Cornwall Alliance on 18th October at a very wet Lanhydrock GC where play was delayed for 1 hour due to heavy rain. History was made today as Katie was the first lady Pro ever to play in the Alliance and more to the point the first lady Pro to be in the prizes.

Katie came 3rd in the Pro's individual, with 34 points from the Men's card which is one less than the Ladies and also with John, her Father, came 3rd overall with 39 points. Katie played excellent golf in a round that included 14 pars, 3 bogeys and one birdie. Her only birdie came on the last hole, the par four 9th, having started on the 10th, by driving the green and then 2 putts.
