This years Junior Captains Day took place on Sunday 3rd December. The weather held fair as 9 juniors competed on the Church Course for the Godfrey Cup, a further 6 juniors competed on the Holywell for the NCA Cup and finally 8 juniors competed for the Dr Geake Cup which was a team competition. During the afternoon the youngest juniors from Group 3 took part in a separate skills challenge which was efficiently organised by Tony and Diana Mindel and Bob and Annie Cruse.

Whilst score cards were being checked, Rex Molloy kindly provided a variety of games including table skittles and shut the box to keep everyone occupied.

The prize giving was ably compared by Bob Cruse and the prizes were presented by Junior Captain, Lottie Clemens and Vice Captain, Charlie Edwards.

Junior Captain, Lottie Clemens referenced during her speech the success of many juniors who had represented the county during the year as well as the juniors that have represented the club in team and individual competitions. Appreciation and thanks was given to all the members that have given their time throughout the year to assist the juniors with their skills sessions and in competitions.

Special thanks was given to Mark Arrowsmith and Lee Bateman for their superb coaching of the juniors, Frank Harper for meticulously organising the skills sessions, Tony and Diana Mindel for all their support, the kitchen and bar staff, Nick Williams for kindly donating the juniors ball markers and Heather Clemens for all the admin work.

Lottie then handed over to the new Junior Captain Charlie Edwards and Vice Captain Jack Chudleigh.
