Journey's End for the Cornwall Bowl Team

Published: 6th November 2017

On the windswept and hail lashed fairways of Newquay Golf Club the Bowl Team met a Perranporth Team whose golf was better on the day. Perranporth mastered the difficult conditions and finished 4-1 winners. The individual matches themselves fluctuated but despite some good performances it was St. Enodoc’s Captain wishing Perranporth further success after Christmas.

Now, as we reflect upon the performance it is time to congratulate all those who participated in the team, their caddies and a doughty band of supporters who braved some challenging elements. It is furthermore important to thank the contribution made by Kenton Williams. When a very late injury scare deprived the team of Phil Hoare it was Kenton who deputised for the Captain who unexpectedly played.
