Holywell plays host to Cornwall Bowl for the first time

Published: 26th October 2015

There was a Cornwall golfing first recently when the St Enodoc Holywell course hosted a Cornwall Bowl knockout match for the first time. The idea for it sprang from the inventive mind of County Secretary Chris Pountney who floated the idea which subsequently met with agreement. As a result we saw a first round match take place between Tehidy Park and St Kew which saw Tehidy emerge as victors.

The feedback after the event was all positive with the players feeling that it was an ideal venue as the state of the course was very good with the greens fast and true - as one might expect with the high standard of the “Big Brother” Church course and the welcome they received in the Clubhouse and post match meal was of the highest standard. Well done the Holywell!
