Good weather helps the Ladies

On Sunday 30th October the final Roworth Salver was played. Shannon Ashcroft played some lovely golf to come in with 38 points and cut her handicap to 23. In second place with 37 points was Kathy Biddle.

On Tuesday 1st November a Medal was played on both courses, the weather was beautiful with just a gentle breeze. On the Church Course Di Dingle was the Division 1 winner with a nett 75. Second was Chris Dymond with nett 76 and in third was Pauline Meredith with nett 77. In Division 2 Edna Alford was the winner with a nett 84 followed by Lynn Ashcroft and Helen Russell on nett 85 and 86. The winner on the Holywell Course, Jane Parr, cut her handicap from 32 to 30 with a nett 61. In second and third, on countback, were Rose Jones and Mary Bower with nett 64.

 On 4th November The Lady Vets held there AGM. Two new trophies were presented. Chris McCormick attended and presented her own trophy to the winner, Annie Matthews, with a score of 36 points. In second place was Freda Calvert on 34 points. Rose Jones presented her award, the Vets Championship Trophy, to Barbara Willmott who won with 36 points followed by Barbara Robson on 34 points.
