Good scoring with only 6 clubs by the Ladies

Published: 16th July 2012

On Tuesday 10th July a 6 Club Competition was held on both courses. With the rough standing high and thick this would normally mean that a limit on the number of clubs you can use would make golf more difficult. However, in Division 1 Angela Tickner obviously had no trouble at all and came in with a brilliant 39 points. She was followed by Kathy Biddle with 33 pts and Mary Rayment with 32 points.

In Division 2 Bobbie Rounsevell was the winner with 26 pts on countback from Mary Baillie. In third was Anne Humphreys with 25 pts.

On the Holywell the winner was Jane Parr on 37 points who has just recovered from a broken wrist followed by Sheilagh Lees on 36 and Sue Moore on 35 all terrific scores with only 6 clubs.
