It was possibly very apt that the Ian Waters Greensomes was played just days before the retirement of Ian’s successor Tuck Clagett as General Manager of St Enodoc. Ian’s time at the Club was sadly brief before his death but we remember him through this great event which is always so enjoyed by Members. Mixed golf is never the most straightforward of formats to score well in but having the choice of two drives on each hole helps ease the pain.

With little wind things started off well but the threat of rain duly materialised and only the very early starters stayed dry, ironically the best results came from those that did get wet. The scores were however very good helped by the courses being in excellent condition. John & Helen Russell slugged it out on the Holywell against Frank & Lorna Harper and took the spoils. On the Church there were some excellent scores and it was all very close with Rod Frost and Sue Kingston–Frost winning on countback. A good Sunday’s mixed golf and great company for which St Enodoc is renowned. Roll on the Mixed Foursome Flag competition on July 2nd!
