Foursomes for the Ladies

Published: 3rd May 2013

On Tuesday 30th April, Foursomes Competitions were held on both courses. In this format, partners usually decide before teeing off that apologies are taken as read in order to avoid conversations dominated by the word “sorry”. Players take alternate shots and so it is your partner that has to deal with the consequences of your actions if you fail to execute the shot you intended.

The following pairs obviously had no problems with this testing format and played their way into the prizes:

Church Course
1st Sue G Jones and Jane Bendall 31 points
2nd Penny Moon and Judy Redman 30 points

Penny and Judy were also winners of the Australian Spoons Competition and will represent St Enodoc in the next round at Launceston on 24th July.

Holywell Course
1st Mary Hooper and Wendy Reskelly 31 points (on count back)
2nd Rose Jones and Sue Moore 31 points
