Cruse & Nash play in the English Amateur Championship
Joe Cruse and Antony Nash are today attempting to follow in the footsteps of Scott Godfrey by winning the English Amateur Golf Championship.
Scott won in 2001 at Saunton, this year's competition is not quite as close to home being held at Silloth-on-Solway and Seascale Golf Clubs.
The format for the first two days of the English Mens Amateur Championship is 36 Hole Stroke Play, commencing Monday 30th July 2012. The field will split into two for the first two days with half playing at Silloth on Solway, the other half playing at Seascale Golf Club, switching round on Tuesday.
After which the lowest 64 scores and those tied for 64th play in the next round of the match-play knockout.
All of the knockout rounds will be played at Silloth on Solway. Every match of each round consists of 18 holes, culminating in the final which is to be played over 36 holes on Saturday 4th August.
Joe tees off today at 1350 and Antony at 1140, Joe at Silloth and Antony at Seascale.
