Cory Cup Round 7

Published: 20th March 2013

With only two rounds remaining of this year's Cory Cup things are starting to heat up in the race to be crowned Cory Cup winner 2013. This week saw round 7 played on Saturday 16th March in some very difficult changeable conditions, starting with frequent heavy showers and blustery winds followed by a very heavy hail storm.

Rich Hawken must have thought that his morning round of 37 points would be good enough to secure a maximum 20 points in the series considering the weather that followed his round but Rich Matheron clearly had other ideas after returning a superb afternoon score of 38 points to take first place and with it the maximum series points on offer. Rich Hawken’ s 37 points secured 2nd place to put him in a good position for next week's final round and decider for this year's Cory Cup with Kenton Williams close behind in 3rd with a solid score of 36 points.
