Cory Cup Round 5

Published: 13th February 2013

After a week of continuous strong icy winds and plenty of rain the men’s Saturday Competition, round five of the Cory Cup on February 9th was again lucky to escape the poor weather and was played in calm but overcast conditions. Considering the previous week's poor weather the course was presented in excellent condition and with the greens being receptive scoring was very good.

After starting his round with two blobs Will Rich may have thought this was not going to be his day but after following that up with four straight 3 pointers he was back on track and despite one more blob on the back nine he returned in 20 points. In an up and down round containing 3 blobs and two 4 pointers Will finished with a very good 39 points to secure first place.

Ken Perring held off Andy Bunt to secure second place with an excellent score of 38 points with Andy Bunt returning a solid score of 37 points.
