On another very difficult day for golf, perhaps even windier than Day 1, another solid round from Mark Arrowsmith ensures that his position on the leader board remains one shot behind the leaders. (As last night this comes with the caveat that several players are still on the course including several with good scores) His score of 75 at Trevose was 4 over par. This remember is in a field of 114 pro golfers including two former Ryder Cup players, multiple European Tour and Senior Tour winners and numerous PGA National Champions.

He was again well supported by his team, scoring 72 points today, and who are now in 7th position 8 stableford points off the lead.

Nick Williams team meanwhile had a fine day and with 77 points have surged up the team leader board into 8th place. Well placed then to win the club bragging rights tomorrow.

Nick himself carded 79 today but lies well down the individual leader board.

Tomorrow the boys are at Newquay with tee times of 0930 and 0940.
