Colonels/Metropole Cup, Round 2

The second round of the Colonel’s and Metropole Cups were played on Saturday.  The weather wasn’t quite what we’ve been used to, but the wind was friendly enough and scores were good. 

In the Colonels division Guy Hovil came in first with 39 points.  Guy birdied the 4th and the 8th and then eagled the 14th!  Guy will also represent the club at Burnham and Berrow along with Nick Williams in the regional final of the Lombard Cup.

Paul Warren was second in the Colonels division with 38 points followed by John Paul (3 putted the 18!) and Mike Masters in 3rd and 4th with 37 points each, and Josh Greenaway and Mark Westlake both had 36 points in 5th and 6th place.

The Metropole was won by Pete George who had 37 points.  Pete birdied the 15th and earned himself a handicap cut to 16.  Phil Hoare was second with 34 points and Andy Burt was 3rd with 34 points.  Pete Liddicoat took the last prize in the division on countback with 33 points.
