Published: 9th July 2013

With the last two Saturday Competitions being Colonels/Metropole Cups it was a good opportunity for someone to make a bit of a charge at the top of the series leaderboard and with terrific weather for both days some excellent scores were posted.

Starting with round 5 played on the 29th June one of the Club's most in form players this year Dan Witts continued his rich vein of form shooting a superb 41 points to take top spot in the Colonels division, Dan has now managed to reduce his handicap to 9 after starting the year off 19. Second place was decided after count-back with Tuck Clagett edging out John Pease after both coming in with 37 points. In the Metropole division Simon Lewins came out on top with a solid 37 points followed in second place by Jim Crouch with 36 points, Keith Searle finished in Third after losing out on count-back.

Round 6 played on the 6th July also saw some very competitive scoring with both David Barber and Danny Hoare playing in the Metropole division posting best of the day scores of 38 points with David Barber winning out after count-back. Mike Worden finished in third with a score of 36 points.

Top spot again could only be decided after count-back in the Colonels division with both Dave Flew and Robbie Moore shooting excellent scores of 37 points with Dave just pipping Robbie to first place. Julian Darnell finished in Third place after coming in with 36 points.
