Colonels and Metrople Cups Round 7

Saturday 27th July saw Round Seven of Nine being played in the Colonels and Metropole Cups and with it getting to the thick end of things it is starting to heat up in the race to be crowned Colonels and Metropole Champion 2013.

Guy Hovil took the honours in the Colonels Division signifying his return to action after a long injury lay off with a superb score of 39 points with his round containing a strong inward nine of 21 points. Things were tight at the top with Guy's birdie on the last hole for 4 points ensuring he pipped Andy Beare to First Place by a point, Andy's excellent score of 38 points secured Second Place and also contained a back nine score of 21 points. Finishing Third on the day and stretching his lead in the Series to five points was Robbie Moore, continuing his solid form in this year's series, Robbie picked up 18 series points for his 18 hole score of 36 points.

In the Metropole Division Kevin Parker started very strongly going out in an excellent front nine score of 21 points and with a back nine of 16 points finished in top spot with a very good 37 points. He was followed closely by Colin Garnett in Second Place posting a score of 36 points with Malcolm Cole rounding out the top three with a score of 35 points.
