Clubhouse Update

Published: 26th November 2013

Members will have seen that work has begun on the clubhouse exterior near the front entrance.

This work entails a re-alignment of the front steps for a new entrance to the clubhouse and the extension of the front patio.

It is hoped the interior upgrades will begin in January. The clubhouse improvements will include the upgrade of those items as described in recent Management Committee minutes - reception, lounge and upper bar. The clubhouse work group has arrived at a plan to remodel the club’s flooring, colour scheme and furnishings. There is to be a new bar and reception desk. Ceilings and lighting will also be upgraded. The current trophy cabinet is to be removed and re-located in the lower lounge.

In general, the plan is to brighten the colour scheme and introduce some different materials and textures to the interior to make it more in tune with its seaside links environment whilst trying to keep its traditional golf club atmosphere.

A floor plan of the new interior design will be put under ‘Extras’ on the website shortly.
