Club Given a Defibrillator

Published: 7th August 2013

Over the years the Club has contributed charity funds to the very worthwhile efforts of FLEET. As a result of that relationship, FLEET have now responded very kindly by donating a defibrillator to St Enodoc Golf Club. This amazing little piece of technology could be the saviour of a member or visitor should they be the unfortunate victim of a heart attack on the course or in the clubhouse. Whilst not necessarily new in the world of medicine, the current models are quite impressive and when attached will do an assessment on the patient, advising the operator on how to proceed.

Several staff members have now been trained in the use of the defibrillator, again with thanks to FLEET. We hope it never needs using but it is nice to know we have the technology!
