Club Champions continue their winning ways.

President’s Cup Final

This cup was first played for in 1946 and was donated by the St Enodoc President at the time. The 2014 Final took place on Sunday 31st August in excellent playing conditions and the two finalists were Sue Ofield and Sue Willmott, both at the top of their games having been crowned Club Champions (scratch and nett ) two days earlier. As expected this was an extremely close contest with both competitors playing a high standard of golf and demonstrating a wholehearted desire to win. Sue Willmott edged ahead on the 17th hole to go 1 up and closed out the match on the 18th green. Congratulations to both players on reaching the final.

Roworth Salver Series

A round of the Roworth Salver Series was also played on Sunday 31st August and it was Trudy Tremain who produced the best performance of the day with a magnificent 39 points resulting in a well- earned handicap reduction.

Clarke Cup

This is a Stableford Competition held on the Church Course which was played on Tuesday 2nd September in bright and sunny conditions.  The winner and runner-up could only be decided after count back and it was Sue Ofield who had the better back nine score which enabled her to win the Clarke Cup by the narrowest of margins.

Beason Cup Qualifier

A Medal Competition was played on the Holywell Course on Tuesday 2nd September. This was another close competition with one shot separating the top two places. Wendy Reskelly was the winner on the day with a nett 64.
