Burnham & Berrow celebrate 125 years too.

Published: 30th June 2015

Ten intrepid explorers left the County on Sunday 28th June, to represent St Enodoc in The Atlantic Links Trophy Competition held at Burnham & Berrow Golf Club. This event was arranged to celebrate Burnham & Berrow’s 125th anniversary, with teams invited from St Enodoc, Trevose, Saunton, Royal North Devon and the host club. The format for golf was a Team combined aggregate stableford competition, with the best eight scores out of ten to count.

          St Enodoc Team

  • Nick Williams

  • Paul Selway-Swift

  • Kim Lord

  • John Paul

  • Penny Cartwright

  • Barbara Willmott

  • Keith Willmott

  • Sue Willmott

  • Bob Cruse

  • Annie Cruse

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day and our hosts made us most welcome with bacon rolls and coffee on arrival and a delicious three course meal in the evening. The celebratory meal was accompanied by much merriment and laughter.
The home team won well ahead of all the other teams and St Enodoc finished supporting the rest of the field. However, we did feature in the prize-giving ceremony with Annie Cruse achieving the best Ladies’ score and Penny Cartwright getting a two.

Thanks to Burnham & Berrow for organising a wonderful day.
