No mud, no temporary greens, no artificial teeing areas just a dry links course in good winter condition and sun, sun greeted those Members who had signed up for the traditional Boxing Day Twelve Hole Foursomes competition on the Church Course.

There is no entry fee for this competition, instead each player brings a wrapped prize (no, no, no ... not an unwanted gift from the day before) and thus every player gets a prize. Well that's the theory; this year there were thirty-four entrants but only thirty-three prizes - don't ask. The winning pair get first choice from the wrapped mystery prize table and so on down the list. This years winners, seemingly unaffected by the previous day's jolity were the Head Pro partnered by Sarah Fisher by the comfortable margin of five stableford points.  This can only be good omen for those who are in Nick's team on Wednesday for the annual squabble against the General Managers team to determine custodianship of the Tom Noggi statuette.

The first three pairs to get to choose from the prize table were

1st Sarah Fisher & Nick Williams 24 points

2nd Beth & David Elliott 19 points

3rd Maxine & Will Rich 18 points
