Battle Trophy Round 2 and The Ken Tune Cup

A bright but blustery day for the Battle Trophy on Saturday.  The 2nd round of the Battle Trophy, a Medal Competition, also featured the Ken Tune Cup.   

The Ken Tune Cup commemorates the spectacular round by Ken Tune at the age of 76 when he scored a gross 76.   Players on Saturday took their gross score and deducted their age to find their Ken Tune differential!  Ian Day was the winner of the Ken Tune Cup with a KT differential of 10.  Ian had a great round and is also a little over 21!!

In the Battle Trophy, Byron Weston took first place with nett 66, it is Byron first win in the Saturday comps.  His handicap is cut by 2 to 14!  In second place Bob Cruse scored a nett 67 and Ben Chapman came in 3rd with nett 68.  Ian Day was 4th with a nett score of 71 ahead of Stuart Morley, Rob Cook and Matthew Mills all separated on countback with nett 71 apiece.  Josh Greenaway has the lowest gross score of the day with a gross 74 netting him 75.
