After a day of high winds and heavy rain which precluded the playing of the traditional Am-Am the AGM took place on Saturday 26th March with the President Baroness Seccombe in the chair. The first speaker was Malcolm Cole, who has completed his first year as Chairman of the Management Committee, who gave Members an insight into the multitude of matters that have had to be addressed particularly the upkeep of the Club's facilities and meeting ever higher standards. Improvements and developments in the year have included the installation of solar panels on the green keepers' shed and the new grey tees on the Church course. Much work has also been carried out on both courses with clearing rogue vegetation. He also touched on possible future projects which include replacing the reservoir liner, the approach road, the internal roads and overflow car park, the changing rooms and the balcony. He concluded by reminding Members that our courses are “the Jewel in the Crown” of the Club.

The Hon. Treasurer David Pooley expressed his pleasure with this year's accounts which show an improvement in Green Fee income particularly on the Church Course along with both the bar and restaurant takings which also showed an improvement in their margins. On the expenditure side costs have been in line with budget but show an increase in the course upkeep expenditure partly due to additional labour costs and the recruitment of an additional staff member. A conscious decision was also taken to spend additional funds on conditioners and material for the benefit of the courses. It is hoped that the long running VAT refund, which is now reflected in the accounts, will be finally settled and paid over to the Club.

The next item on the agenda was the various elections which saw few changes, Keith Godfrey was appointed as an additional Trustee and on the Management Committee Will Rich replaced Mark Richards, who has completed his full eight years.

Captain David Elliott reflected on the success last year of our 125th Anniversary celebrations through all parts of the Club and which culminated in the highly successful Hickory Challenge which was so enjoyed by the participants which included some of our Juniors. We can look forward this year to hosting the South West Counties Championships. In conclusion he said that we are a Members club full of active players and not a day in the week goes by without at least one of our groups playing on our courses.

The concluding item was the formal presentation of the trophies to our two Club Champions Joe Cruse and Bev Vann along with mention of John Paul, who was abroad, the winner of the Andy Jolley Trophy which is played for over the full season. All of the speakers thanked profusely all those members of staff, so ably led by Tuck, and also Members who put in some much time and enthusiasm for our benefit and which makes the Club the envy of many.
