An Autumn Meeting to remember.

The Autumn meeting was held on Tuesday 6th October and although heavy showers were forecast, they failed to appear and players appreciated the warm and sunny playing conditions.

This is a popular event and is always well supported, players were organised into teams of three, counting the best two scores on each hole. The competitions on both courses were extremely close with the top two teams achieving the same points tally, the winners being decided after count back. On the Holywell Course it was the team of Carolyn Ramsbottom, Annabel Woolcott & Wendy Reskelly who won the day with a total of 69 points from Maggie Dunne, Annie Matthews & Freda Wherry. On the Church Course the team of Chris Dymond, Barbara Willmott & Viv Steer compiled a winning total of 67 points ahead of Di Dingle,Terri Gliddon & Sue Floyd Jones.

The prize table was beautifully decorated with colourful flowers and pot plants. On returning to the club house, everyone enjoyed well-earned refreshments in Trudie’s “bistro” and to round off proceedings winning Captains; Annabel Woolcott and Chris Dymond thanked Trudie for all the time and effort she has taken throughout the year when planning these occasions resulting in some wonderfully creative and memorable days enjoyed by all.
