Sunday saw the annual Men’s Invitation event, a betterball Stableford in difficult conditions. Maybe St Enodoc male members do not have many friends or maybe they are expert weather forecasters, whatever the reason only 26 pairs turned out for the day. Those that did enjoyed their day out, even if the rain came and went and the wind blew. The course was in immaculate condition and the  food was as good as ever, both of which brought praise from the guests. The handicap allowance was three quarters, which meant the winners with their plus handicaps had more shots or the same, not less as the other mere mortals had to play with- the moral of this story is get your handicap down there before you complain and if you do enter, then the county champion is a good choice as your guest.

The results were:

1st Joe Cruse and Conor Wilson 38 pts on countback
2nd Andy Bunt and Adrian Handy 38pts
3rd Martin Wilson and Andy Dawes 37pts on count back

Nearest the pin -Graham Keeble

Longest drive- Dan Norsworthy (308 yards down the second!)
