A Medal and Greensomes for the Ladies

A EWGA Medal Competition took place on Sunday 19th May in favourable playing conditions. The best score of the day came from Rhiannon Rich who was honing her skills for a home league match the following day (which she duly won)
1st Rhiannon Rich nett 75
2nd Annie Cruse nett 78 (on count back)

Greensomes
Competitions were held on both courses on Tuesday 21st May in cool and windy conditions. It was a fairly close affair on the Church Course with only 3 points separating the top three places and two notable prize winners from last week; Celia Jarvis and Barbara Willmott continue to show good form. On the Holywell course, the winners enjoyed a much more comfortable margin as Barbara Robson and Maggie Day secured victory with a magnificent total of 42 points – 9 ahead of their nearest rivals.

2nd Lynn Ashcroft & Maxine Rich 36 points (on countback)
3rd Barbara Willmott & Bobbie Rounsevell 36 points

Holywell Course
1st Barbara Robson & Maggie Day 42 points
