A good start to the Ladies 2017 League campaign

Published: 16th March 2017

Our 2017 league campaign got underway on Wednesday 15th March with a testing home draw against Launceston who have always proved to be tough opponents in the past.
Ladies’ Captain Tamsin Blake fielded a strong team of players who were all looking forward to getting this year’s campaign off to a good start. Playing conditions were about as benign they get at St Enodoc with no wind and only a fine drizzle at times. The players had to quickly adapt to the spring like conditions after months of battling the wind and rain!

As always when meeting Launceston, the matches were played in friendly and competitive spirit and on this occasion the St Enodoc players got the upper hand in the early matches to bring home the first win of the season.
