On Sunday 7th August St Enodoc Ladies met Trevose Ladies at Newquay Golf Club for the semi-final of the Gammon Trophy.  It was very windy and the showers were very blustery making the golf a real challenge. However, our ladies played wonderful golf giving us a well earned 5-2 win.  The team were Katie Rule, Sarah Sanderson, Bev Vann, Judy Hultgren, Sarah Sandercock, Meg Godfrey and Sue G Jones. Sue should have a special mention as, despite walking into a metal pole when leaving the ladies locker room which resulted in a rather large bluish lump on her forehead, she still managed to play some great golf in difficult conditions. We now look forward to meeting Perranporth in the final at Trevose in September.

On Tuesday the Ladies competed for the Clarke Cup on the Church Course with some extremely good results.  The winner, cutting her handicap to 17, was Sue Willmott with 39 points, followed by Annie Hawkey on 38 who cut her handicap to 16 and Jan Derry also on 38 on countback now down to 14.  On the Holywell Course the ladies played a Yellowball Competition and this was one by Marion Andrews, Barbara Hawkins and Anabelle Woolcott with 79 points.
