The final of the Bronze Knockout Competition was played on the Church Course on Monday 16th September. Sue Richards and Viv Steer were the two players involved in what turned out to be an enthralling final. Viv took an early lead and was two up after the front nine, she quickly extended this lead to go four up. Sue then staged a good recovery and won four consecutive holes to level the match which eventually finished on the 20th hole with a hard earned victory for Viv.

The penultimate round of the Roworth Salver Series was played on Sunday 22nd September in good playing conditions and the following players produced the best scores of the day:

1st Penny Cartwright 34 points (on count back)
2nd Bev Vann 34 points

The winner of the series will be the player with the best five scores and as the 2013 series draws to a close there are still a number of players in contention so it will be all to play for in the final round.

On Tuesday 24th September another round of the Beason Medal Series was played on the Holywell Course with the following results:

1st Gill Goodright nett 69 (on count back)
2nd Gilly Ffrench-Blake nett 69

Meanwhile on the Church Course, players were competing in a Stableford Competition and it was our successful Daily Mail Foursomes pair who claimed the top two places in Division One.
