While Joe Cruse was winning the Cornish Amateur Championship in the wind and rain at Newquay, 47 members braved the weather here at St Enodoc for the 3 Ball Better Ball Competition.  The competition was played off a ¾ handicap allowance with one score to count on the front 9 and 2 scores to count on the back 9.

The winning team; Andy Beare, Chris Gill and Andy Golding finished 5 points ahead of the rest of the field with 62 points. In second place Chris Tickner, Charles Rayment and Stuart Fleet had 57 points and Shaun Beare, Keith Searle and Nigel Ahearn teamed up to come 3rd with 56 points.  In 4th place on countback, John Rowe, Mark Jarvis and Andy Griffith took the final prize.
