Ladies enjoy a day at Polzeath.

A very successful away day was organised for the Ladies Captain on Thursday 17th September which turned out to be a bright and sunny day with a swirling wind that added to the challenge.
Thirty St Enodoc ladies travelled to The Point at Polzeath to play in a fun Three Ball Stableford Competition.
Nearest the pin prize on the 12th hole was won by Annie Hawkey and Chris Dymond produced the longest drive from the 15th tee.
In the team competition, the following groups played their way into the prizes:

1st Tamsin Blake, Pauline Meredith and Anne Irons   84 points

2nd Annie Cruse, Beth Elliott and Maxine Rich   78 points

Hidden Holes Prize (8th) Terri Gliddon, Barbara Willmott and Jean Nicholls

Players appreciated a glass of Pimms to welcome them back to the clubhouse before sitting down to enjoy a lovely meal. A surprise birthday cake was presented to Cath Buscombe (21yrs again!) on behalf of Ladies’ Captain Trudie Tensjo.

Winning Team Captain,Tamsin Blake thanked Di Mindel and Cath Buscombe for organising the day so well and praised her playing partners who both chipped in from off the green to add to their impressive points total.

Bronze Knockout Competition

The final of the Bronze Knockout Competition took place on Saturday 12th September between the
"in form" Lynn Ashcroft and Sue Floyd Jones who is also an experienced match player. Both players started off well and Lynn edged ahead to go two up after nine holes. Lynn performed very well around the turn and managed to close out the match on the fourteenth green.
Congratulations to both players on reaching the final.
